ATTENDANCE
Chrman.Bob Kost, Bruce Kokal, Virginia Sweatt, Les Kelley, Lee Erger and
Phil Bradley met at Casco Circle Park at 7 PM, and later convened at City Hall.
Absent were Tom Casey and John Gerhardson.
CA5C0 CIRCLE PARK
Commission members inspected the park with reference to landscaping and parking.
Herb Suerth, a resident of the area, said that parking �tas: not a pressing
problem, and he favored some natural plant and rock materials for barriers to
prevent people driving through the park.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the April 5, 1988, meeting were approved.
COMMISSION VACANCY
Bob Kost reported that Tom Casey indicated he is resigning due to lack of time.
The vacancy will be reported to the City Council with a recommendation that
previous applicants be informed of opportunity for appointment. '�
PARK USER SURVEY
The revised survey form was discussed and approved. Motion by Kelley to submit
User Survey f or council approval w ith recommendation that survey be sent by
lst class mail by June lst to all residents. Passed unanimously.
PA RK DEDICATION FEE SCHED ULE
After discussion of fees charged by Wayzata, Plymouth and Mound, Motion by
Kelley to recommend to council to amend Sec. 11 ,62 , subd. 1 , to adopt a Park
Dedication Fee of 10'/0 of raw land value, by city appraisal, for all new
construction. Passed unanimously.
CASCO CIRCLD PARK -
After further discussion, the commission recommends that tree planting project „�
of Eagle Scout Will Swanson be directed to close off points on park perimeter
where vehicles are entering. Also that residents be advised against dumping
debris on park property. It was further noted that plat map shows a 60 foot
public access to the lake.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 7th at 7 PM. Further discussion
of� parking needs for Casco Circle will be held, with other residents to be
inv�ted for comment. The meeting adjourned at 9:18 PM.
