ATTENDANCE
Bob Kost, Chairman, Virginia Sweatt, Bruce Kokal , Lee Erger, and
Phi 1 ip Bradley were present. Mariann Kienz ler, Lester Ke l ley, and
Thomas Casey were absent. John Gerhardson from the Orono City staff
was also present.
APPROVAL OF MINOTES
Minutes from the January 5, 1988 meeting were reviewed and approved.
REAPPOINTMENT OF COMMISSION MEMBERS
In December 1987, the terms of five Commission Members had expired.
Four of those members requested to be reappointed. It was also
suggested to stagger the terms to avoid that many expirations in the
future. The following are the members to be reappointed and the
expiration dates :
Robert Kost, Chairperson 12/31/88
Philip Bradley 12/31/90
Virginia Sweatt 12/31/90
Tom Casey 12/31/90
Marianne Kienzler will be moving from the area in April and has
requested not to be reappointed.
Bob Kost requested each member to respond to items of concerns for the
Commission for 1988. The following are things that all members agreed
to respond to in 1988 : park survey and distribution, promotion,
bike/hike trails, physical improvements to all parks, and signage of
a 11 parks.
CASCO CIRCLE PARR
All members were requested to inspect Casco Circle Park prior to the
next meeting and suggest ways of keeping vehicles out of the park.
OPCOMING ITEMS TO BE DISCIISSED
The following items will be discussed at the March meeting: parks
survey and park dedication fee review.
ADJOQRNMENT
Meeting was adjourned at 8 :00. The next Park Commission meeting is
scheduled for Tuesday, March 1, 19�8 at 7:00 p.m.
