ATTENDANCE
Phil Bradley, Acting Chairman, Lee KeYley, Lee Erger, Mariann
Kienzler, Tom Casey, Virginia Sweatt, and Bruce Kokal were
present. John Gerhardson from the Orono City staff was also
present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Minutes from the September 1, 1987 Park Commission meeting were
approved.
HACRBERRY PARK SRATING PARR
we11 bids came in extremely high - will get lower priced bids.
LIVINGSTON TOWER PARK
Nicholas Legeros attended the meeting due to an interest in
participating in the sculpture design. (Announcements were posted
in the Art Center of Minnesota for interested sculptors explaining
the nature of the Park Commission' s Livingston Tower Park
sculpture. ) Costs were discussed with the artist with a motion
made by Tom Casey to have a request for funds presented to the
City Council.
Bids for the landscaping of Livingston Tower Park came under bid
with some plants already installed.
BIK13-HIRE TRAIL PLAN
Bob Kost sent copies of the bike-hike trail for further review
(see on-going agenda) .
ON-GOING AGENDA
Commissioners should be prepared to discuss the bike-hike trail
map.
ADJOURNMENT
Meeting was adjourned at 9:10. The next Park Commission meeting is
scheduled for November 3rd, 1987, at 7:00 p.m.
