ATTENDANCE
Lee Erger, Mariann Kienzler, Phil Bradley, and Bob Kost were
present. John Gerhardson from the Orono City staff was also
present. Virginia Sweatt, Les Kelley and Bruce Kokal were absent.

APPROVAL OF MINLJTES
Minutes from the August 3, 1987 Park Commission meeting were
approved.
FUNDS FROM THE LIONS CLIIB
A list of park improvements w�1i be sent to the Lions Club for
funding selection.
SUMMIT PARR
John Gerhardson W�i1 be presenting the parking space plan.
LIVINGSTON TOWER PARR
Jennifer Hecker, head of the Minnesota Art Center Sculpture
Department, may attend the October 1987 Park Commission meeting.
BIRE-HIRE TRAIL PLAN
Bob Kost will present copies of the bike-hike trail and a
classification of trail. Further discussions about the selection
of track wiYl be made.
ON-GOING AGENDA
Commissioners should be prepared to discuss the following items at
the next meeting:
1) Construction of the ice skating rink at Hackberry Park on
September l, 1987. Bids for the well will be completed
soon.
2) Comprehensive Plan - John Gerhardson W�11 be bringing the
DNR bike-hike trail map to the October meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
Meeting was adjourned early. The next Park Commission meeting is
scheduled for October 5th, 1987, at 7:00 p.m.
1
