PARK COMMISSION MINUTES
Meeting, October 15 , 1985

Meeting: Discussion regarding the future of the ORONO GOLF
COURSE - private ownership or public?
Before the PARK COMMISSION could make a recommendation
to the Council , we felt there was vital information needed.
Questions which were asked are:
l. What are the expenses & income for the last 5 years .
2 . Copy of the deed and/or agreement when property
obtained by the City.
3 . What was original purchase price?
4 . What is its current appraised value?
5 . Were public bonds issued at time of sale? Are any
bonds outstanding or is the property "free & clear"?
6 . Is the Comprehensive Land Use Plan being following?
7 . Who actually has jurisdiction of the Golf Course -
the Park Commission?
The members of the Commission would like to obtain
copies of the Comprehensive Land Use manual .
