PARK COMMISSION MINUTES
Minutes of the Sept. 1 , 1981 meeting of the Orono Park Commission .
Present at this meeting were Lee Tomlinson, Les Kelley , and Mary Stinson.
A quorum of the membership was not present.
There were general discussions relating to the following;
1 . Dayton Property (Summit Park) Council has requested
additional cost projections, preferably lower, as well
as more detailed plans assuring a minimum 75 ' setback
from the lake shore. City Staff will do this .
2 . Casco Circle �Park , and the proposed skating rink.
Strong resident opposition to this project has been
evident, and the council has not proceeded any further
with it.
3 . Lots of trees are now planted at Bederwood, and the fill
for the ball diamond outfield looks to be adequate for
final grading and seeding.
