PARK COMMISSION
Regular meeting of the Orono Park Commission held Apri1 3, 1979.
The Orono Park Commission met on the above ATTENDANCE
date with the following members present:
Chairman Tomlinson, Erger, Kelley, Peterson
Watson, and Goetten. Not Present: Berglund
The minutes of the February meeting were read MINUTES READ
and approved. No meetin.g was held in March.
John Gerhardson has asked us to look into the PROPERTY
propoaed dedication of property by Mr. Antonio
Favero, 5320 1�1st Avenue North, Mpls. Mn. 554� 7
for park usage. The property is located in the
Minnetonka Sur%nit Park subdivision, Block 7, lots
9 & 10. The property is roughly an acre, 200 ' by
200 ' . Eaeh member was asked to look at the prop-
erty before the May meeting.
Tomlinson reported that Bederwood Park has been BEDERWOOD PARK
surveyed. The engineer estimated $1.�.,000 for
grading a Babe Ruth size field. Both Tomlinson
and Gerhardson believe this figure too high.
John Gerhardson will present some figures to us
at our next meeting. Each member was asked to
drive by the park before the next meeting.
Nothing to report on the transfer of title on the DANIELS PROPERTY
Daniels Playground property.
The City ataff is still looking into the Forest FOREST LAKE PROPERTY
Lake Property, although it does no� seem to be
�. high priori�y item.

Gerhardson will arrange for a black dirt covering
Tomlinson asked Corimission members for their ideas
on improvements and equipmen� for the next meeting
so that he can present them to the City Council.
Watson reported that the Leage of Women Voters ,�0.00 DONATIQN
have made a $50.00 contribution for a tree for
Bederwood Park through John Gerhardson.
