Re�ular Meeting of the Orono Park Commission, 7:45 P.M.
March 22, 1977
The Orono Park Commission met on the above
date with the following members present :
Chairman Lathrop, Berglund, Kelly and Hurr.
Also present : Councilwoman Butler. Absent :
Kallestad and Peasley.
The Minutes from the last meeting were read MINUTES
and approved.
Nancy Kallestad wishest to resign her position RESIGNATIONS
on the Park Commission. Fern Kubalsky wishes
to resign as chairman of the Bike Hike Trails
Committee.
Bergland moved, Kelly seconded, to accept these SENT LETTER
resignations and asks the Village to send
letters of thanks for their service.
The Hackberry site plan was discussed. John HACKBERRY PARK
Gerhardson will give us a breakdown of plant-
ing costs for assistance in deciding the dis-
tribution of funds between Bederwood and Hack-
berry.
The Park Cornmission needs to set some goals FUTURE PLANS
and lon� range plans for the Orono Park system.
The question of a formula for use in determining
Park development should be worked on. Some
points to consider include : size, location,
population, radius, unique land qualities and
adjacent land uses.
Each member is to communicate their feelings,
in writing, to Walter Lathrop.
