Regular Meeting of the Orono Park Commission, 8:00 P.M.
August 16, 1976
The Orono Park Commission met on the above
date with the following members present:
Chairman Lathrop, Berglund and Hurr, plus
Gerhardson. Absent: Kallestad, Leipold,
Oberhauser, Panuska, Peasley and Opheim.
John Gerhardson suggested the closing of the
Mrs. -C. Elliot account at the Navarre First
National Bank. The account was originally
set up as a memorial for her son. No funds
have been added to this account in a couple .
of years. The Park Commission (by telephone
survey) voted to close the account and trans-
fer the money to the General Park Fund. The
amount involved is $140. 89. A note will be
sent to Mrs. Elliot, 2529 Lydiard Avenue,
Navarre, informing her of the use of the
money and expressing our thanks. Moneys were
used in development of Daniels Park in
Navarre.
The proposed gift to the City of Orono by
Bruce Dayton was discussed. Members are to
survey the area and be prepared to make a
recommendation to the Council.
Meeting adjourned.
