Regular 1�Ieeting of the Park Commission, 8>00 P.Pi.
April 16, 19?4
The Park Commission met on the above date
with the following memaers presenta Chair-
man i�Iastny, Berglund, Hallowell, Oberhauser,
and Opheim. Absento Leipold, T•Til.ler,
Panuska, and Glysocky. Also present�

Dunwerth Pasley, who lives near HaCkberry, PROPOSED r�2ET�2BERS
was present to express his interest in being
on the Park Commission. ��Iro Pasley works
for trhe Hennepin County Park Reserve District.
He was interviewed by the commissiono
Oberhauser moved, Berglund seconded, that
iiro Pasley's name be submitted to the Council
for appointment to the Park Commission. P�otion,
Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
I�lastny report�d having received calls from
two other people who cou]�d not be present
who were interested in the Park Commis�io�1.
Hallowell presented the n�me of Fern Kubalsky
as being interested. A discussion was helde
Oberhauser moved, Opheim seconded, that Fern
Kubalsky be recommended for the Park Commission,
subject to her approval. T�iotion, Ayes (5) -
Nays (0) .
Hallowell will contact hero
It was brought to the attention of the Park UNAUTHORIZED VEHICLES
Commission that unauthorized vehicles are
using park land. A discussion was held.
Oberhauser moved, Hallowell seconc�ed, that
we request the police to make a study of
these unauthorized vehicles on park property
and that they make recommendations for control
of these vehicles at the May meetinga I�otion,

A letter from the Council was read requesting iVEW PROPERTY POSSIBILITIES
that the Park Commission look at some land
between North Star Marina and North Shore
PZarina as possible park property. Opheim
and Berglund will check it on Saturday.
Hallowell reported that the Howells wanted at HOUIELL PROPERTY
least $3,000, plus assessments, for their
��-operty. They have not accepted our offer.
The land is presently for sale.
Art Ostland's property, 11 acres, ��as inspected OSTLAND PROPERTY
by Berglund and Opheim. It is long and narrow
and runs from the [°Iatertown Road to the Luce
Line. Part of it is flat but part of it is hilly.
Th� asking price is less than the Larson
p�opertyo Berglund recommended that the
com��nission give it further study and go out
to anspect it.
B��c;lund will contact the Larsons to see if LARSON PROPERTY
th�y ��ill accept the Park Commission's offer.
A letter was read from Cosby concerning the ELLIOTT MEMORIAL FUND
�.�e of the Elliott Memorial money. A discussion
w�s heldo Since the commission is in hopes of
obtaining land near the Navarre areao we would
l�ke to hold the money for this possibility.

The Village of Long Lake would like us to join ORONO-LONG LAKE JOINT
