Regular I�ieeting of the Park Commission, 8�00 P.T�i.
January 15, 1974
The Park Commission met on the above date
with the following members presento Chairman
iiastny, Berglund, Hallowell, Leipold,
Oberhauser, Opheim, and Wysocky. Absent�
Panuska and Niiller.
The Tqinutes of the Decem�er 18, 1973 meeting r�TINUTES
were read and approved.
Chairman r�iastny reporting:
REPORT ON COUNCIL PIEETIi�T'
1. The request for the Park Board Study by Park Board Study
I3rauer & Associates was presented. The new
i�Iayor felt he needed some time to study it.
It was recommended we contact Arno Hairing
of the I�ietro Council and the West Hennepin
County Recreation to see if they could help
in the park study. Oberhauser will investigate
this. Wysocky stated that until the study is
done, we could not apply for Federal Aid.
The Council requested complete information STUIIB'S BAY PROPERTY
on the �roposed purchase of the Stubb' s Bay
pro�erty. Berglund, Hallowell, and Opheim
will put this information together.
The Council wanted to know how large the SIZE OF PARK COF�Ii�IISSIOiJ
Park Commission felt it should be.
Leipold moved, �^?ysocky seconded, that the
Park Commission remain as an eleven member
i�oard. ��Sotion, Ayes (7) - Nays (0) .
Discussion was held on attendance. It was ATT�NDAIQCE
felt the chairman should have permission to
write a letter requesting an explanation of
his absence from any member who did not attend
three consec�rtive meetings.
O�heim recommended that each member be LONG RANGE DEVELOPNIEiJT
responsible for a park interest and put
together a folder of information on that park.
Those responsible for parks are:
Leipold - French Lake

Village Council direct the Zoning Administrator
to provide the Park Commission with copies of
proposed preliminary plats and amendrients

contact the Howells to see if they would
sell their property for $2,500 and we pick
up the assessments, subject to the Council' s
ap�roval. Hallowel.l will call the Howells.

The significant results of the Luce Line LUCE LINE SUFVEY
Survey made on adjoining property owners
were distributed by Panuska and discussed
by the Commission.
Panuska reported that the horse patrol is HORSE PATROL
fully organized with eight men and complete
radio contact. This means there are two
mounted patrolmen for four hours every
Saturday and Sunclay.
A report on the status of the Luce Line was PUBLIC H�ARING
presented. A public hearing ��ill be held in Luce Line
February.
The reyular meeting time will be at 8: 00 P.M. rIEETING DATE & TIT�L
on the third Tuesday of February.
