Absent: Hallo�vell , ���Iiller, Orheim, and
Pa�iuska.

DiscL�ssicn regarding public not understanding ORONO GOLF COURSE
tl�at tiie Parlc Commiss ion is not involved in tne
golf course management, finances , maintenance,
etc� �Iembers felt it is up to the Village to
promote the oolf r_ourse . Berglund pointed out
tilat it is not a course for oldsers ; it is a
fam.�ly �ourse and the res�ydents of Orono are
ple<<sea to ha•ae it. It can make a little money
but �ve sliould not look upon it as a potentially
l�ig riori�y ma.?:er because of its size and terrain.

Discussion was held regarding the possibility NE�VSLETTER
of oue or two newsletters a year sending
information to residents listing parks ,
boat launching, some lake accesses ,etc.

Stanice moved, Jarl seconded, tiiat meetings be
changed to the tliird Thursday of the month

P-�iastny iaas not consulted by the Village as CHAIRAIAN � ME�tBERSHIP
to qualifications of outgoing or incoming
members. Tlie members who did not request
reappointment expressed the feeling tliat:
1 . Their time lvas being used futilely
since tlieir work, study, and on-site
investigations were overlooked by the Council.
2 . That recommendations by the Park Commission
are set aside or overlooked, ignored, or
rejected.
3. Council reflects a lack of faith in the
intelligence and work of the Park Commission.
Other members agreed. Non-participating
members sllould be as�:ed if they are still
interested and s3iould be asked to resign if
they are not or cannot attend meetings
fairly regularly. Other board membe�rs
expressed their real appreciation of the work
done aiid time spent by outgoing commissioners
Jarl and Stanke.
Sympat�iy was extended to Gretchen Hallotiaell
for the recent loss of her father.
