July 17 , 1973, 7:30 PM MEETING

Where is everybody?
We appreciated the few who did call that
could �ot come.
The following points were discussed with relation �US TRIP
to the facts found at the bus trip:
The �eed for parking at the Sandy Qeach area and
Highwood Park.
The need for additional parks in the Navarre area.
The development of existing parks and where parks
should be developed.
We r�ceived a letter from Mr. Howells , who owns SAG� HILL
the trianqle of property near the Highwood Park
that was pointed out on the bus trip. He is
offering to sell it to the Village for $5,500.00
with the Village absorbing assessments , any costs
and taxes due at the time of acquisition. Taxes
now are current.
Think about this. It will be brought up at the
next meeting.
Dexter Marston recommended that we consider LAND ACQUISITION
1 ) acquiring land for public access from
County Road 84 to the park reserve property;
2) that we look into the possibility of ac-
quir�ng some land west of the watertower i�
Navarre for a Neighborhood Park.
The meeting on July 6 , where Tom Loucks pre- PRELIMINARY &
sented the Preliminary and Comprehensive Plan , COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
was attended by Hallowell and Mastny. The
Comprehensive Plan indicated �arks and trail
system. If the plan could be achieved, as
Mr. Loucks has presented, we would have a
very comprehensive park system.
The next meeting we should consider priorities ACTION
on park development and/or acquisition. Qut
