Regular ��ieeting of the Park Commission, 4:00 P.i�t.
February 16, 1971
Tlie Park Commission met on tne above date
with the follo�,ring members present: Chair-
man O�land, Jones , Leipolcl, Stanke, and
1Vysocky. Absent: Dorrel, Fahlin, Jarl,
Panuska, Smith and iYhite. Ralph Jtartin
was also present along �vith guests £rom
"tid�rest Planning and Research, Inc. , a
landscape architect firm.
Two �entlemen from "•iidwest Planning spoke SPEAICERS
with us about their concept of park
planning. One of their main a.deas bein�
to sliare open spaces with school �listricts ,
alon� �rith lighted school houses for more
extensive use.
Hackberry Park landfill proyect has now HACICBER2Y PARK
been completed and we are ready to develop
it for use this summer. lYe need to decide
�vhether to purchase the adjacent land.
(Two lots) .
T:ie petition presented some time ago by CASCO POINT PARK
Casco Point residents to improve the
Casco Parl: was discussed and should be
given further consideration.
