Park Commission was held at the Village
Hall on January 3 , 1969.
The following members were present: CALL TO ORDER
Messrs . Durrel , P�Iixa, Otto, tiVhite and
Butterfield . �•ir . Fahlin and Dr . Panuska
absent .
The R�.1 k Commission recommends that snow- RECOr�r4ENDATI0N5 FOR
mc�iles be permitted under the following SNOWMOBILES
conditi�ns :
1 . Oper: te snowmobiles during certain
hours , 9 A.n�. to 9 P .?�1.
2 . T�ust be adeauately muffled.
3 . Certain areas can only be used by
snowmobiles .
�. Must have permit to operate in Orono
on nlaygroun3s , narks and Orono Golf
Course.
S, ree to be determined.
6. Snowmobiles should meet state standards
o£ safety.
7. General reg,ulatory ordinances no`a being
considered by conservation district
are acceptable ,
8 . Snowmobiles only to be used on southern
half of golf course, northern part to be
used by sliders .
9 . Recommend that Baker Park be considered
for snourmobile usage.
