The Regular Monthly Meetin�; of the Orono 8: 00 P.M.
Park Commission was held at the Village
Hall on November 15, 1967
The following members were present:
Messrs . Dorrel , Otto, Panuska , White ,
and Mr. Mixa, Village Administrator.
Mrs . Lehman absent.
Guest: T. J. Wasgatt
Recommended to Village Council that SNOWMOBILES
Villape pass regulation that a21 snowmobiles
used in Orono must have mufflers .
A discussion of the Orono Golf Course ORONG GOLF COURSE
included uses ; the need for better
facilities for changing clothes ; for
toilets; the possibility of chan ging, holes
arouncl i:�. order to use maiz? house as
clubhouse ; the house could be an attraction
for a greens keeper or watchman; perhaps to
hire a high school girl to run a food
stand•, to flood near the elubhouse for
skating and use clubhouse as a warming
house .
A field trip was suggested to review the
state of the present club house.
2ecommended to the Villape Cvuncil that
clubhouse be improved immediately with
modern facilities for changing rooms and
heat . Nothing elaborate.
Discussion on the matter of payment for SK4TING RINKS
the golf course.
Discussion of the flooding of rinks at
Hill School , Orono Golf Course, and at
Casco Point .
There being no further business , the ADJOURNMENT
tiieeting was adjourned at 9: 30 P.M.
