Specifically, we request any information you may have regarding the location of underground storage tanks and pipelines, uncontrolled leaks and/or spills of hazardous materials and hazardous material storage and disposal sites in the area. Additionally, please provide any information in your file pertaining to any potential environmental threat within a one mile radius of the site. The only item of concern I found was correspondence from 1969 between the City's Building Inspector and the Country Club's Manager refering to a garage dump that will be "covered up". The letter went on to say that the Country Club would start using a garbage collection service. There was no indication of the location of the garbage dump. The file also showed Demolition permits for various buildings and one permit for underground fuel tank removal. The City did not require permits to install underground fuel storage tanks until recent years so there may be some left from the buildings that have been demolished. There may also be unused water wells that have not been properly abandoned. This is all the information I have available regarding environmental hazards on or near this property.
