The City engineer reviewed the as-built survey and found it appeared to conform to the intent of the approved plan. A site visit was made and the inspector found a pile of spoils on the north side of the house in addition to areas of bare soil that must be established with vegetation,see attached photos. The spoils were not shown on the as-built survey and must be removed from the site. Once the spoils have been removed and vegetation has been established, please contact us for a site visit. We will refund your escrow money after the City confirms the above has been completed. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. The as-built shows a second driveway"under construction". Only one driveway access to Watertown Road is allowed (City Code Section 18-136). The driveway under construction should be revised. 2. The primary driveway exceeds the max allowable width. Maximum width is 20 feet with a 5 foot radius flairs at the road for a total of 30 feet. As depicted the driveway is 33 feet; please revise. 3. Survey depicts two proposed retaining walls that are not yet constructed. All of the work approved in the construction permit should be completed prior to the submittal of the as-built and close out of the building permit. 4. The survey depicts the location of the"Old Well". If no longer in use it should be properly abandoned by a licensed well driller. If a new well has been installed,the location should be shown. Also, Building Official, Roger Peitso, has left a message for you regarding the demolition of the original house. It appears the original house was demolished without a demolition permit. A demolition permit application is attached, please submit the application with a check for$150($75 for demolition of a principal structure and $75 for the after-the-fact fee). An inspection was required and not completed. Please provide any evidence you have of proper removal of materials. We will note that no inspections were performed in conjunction with this permit. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Before we can close out the building permit, please submit the following: 1. A demolition permit application for the original house. 2. An as-built survey after the demolition of the original home and final grading are completed and vegetation is established.
