Please explain why you are interested in the appointment and what you, as a City Council member, would offer to the City Council and the community. 2. What's your thinking on the City's strategic direction and how would you change it if you had the ability? 3. Describe your experience with plans that guide the City, such as the city budget and the Comprehensive Plan. 4. Please describe what you believe are the major concerns of the City residents and businesses. How do you think these concerns should be met by the City? 5. How do you feel about regulating your neighbors? 6. What do you think will be your biggest challenge in this position? What is your biggest concern? 7. How do you facilitate the development and maintenance of a positive relationship with the City Council, the city staff and the community? Evaluation: Criteria Excellent Good Fair Poor Will bring knowledge, experience, and perspective to the review of issues before the Council. Commitment to the best interests of the community at large and to the overall philosophy of the City. Familiar with the policies and plans which guide the City, as a framework for decision-making. Perspective on key issues facing the City Council and Council responsibilities. Team player with the ability to work cooperatively with others. Contributions to the community through involvement in community organizations, and/or service on the City's volunteer commissions.
