Recommendation:
Approval. Permit should not be issued until the following conditions are met:
1. Submittal of sureties for wetland alteration
2. Reimbursement of mailing costs
3. Rule J fees must be paid
4. Submit a vegetation restoration plats for the wetland area and surrounding buffer
S. Submit a declaration for the preservation.of wetland buffers
Background:
The applicant is proposing to excavate 1500 square feet of a Type II wetland for the purposes of
creating a pond for.wildlife enhancement. An additional 1500 square feet will be excavated in
an area adjacent to,but outside the wetland boundary. The pond will be constructed in
accordance with MCWD Rules and spoils will spread throughout an upland area and restored
with native vegetation.
Rule B
Erosion control consisting of silt fence has been provided throughout the site.
Rule b:
As stated above,the pond will be constructed in accordance with MCWD Rule D and occupy an
.area of 3000 square feet. The pond will contain 3:1 slopes, anundulating bottom, and have a
maximum-depth of five'feet. The applicant has agreed to establish a twenty-five foot buffer and
restore both buffers.and spoils areas with native species of vegetation.
