Gentlemen:
I believe I spoke to a representative of your department regarding
the dispute between Mr. and Mrs. Butterfield and Gerda Kennedy.
That dispute has now been resolved, at least with respect to the
major points of contention, and the parties are proceeding ahead
with a readjustment of their property line.
I am assuming that as a matter of municipal law, that new line will
need to be approved by your department. We are having a survey
prepared with the new line in mind and I assume that survey will
need to be submitted to your department.
I would appreciate it if you would advise me at your earliest
convenience the requirements of local ordinance for approval of
transfers of small parcels of real estate for the purpose of
quieting title and cleaing up land descriptions. For example, is
a survey required of both parcels, or merely that portion of the
parcel that is in dispute?
I would also appreciate it if you would advise me of the evenings
that these matters are considered so that we can plan accordingly
when the appropriate requests, permits and applications are filed.
