It was nice chatting with you today. I have some information regarding the city's private road standards (below). As you
progress with your plans please reach out so we can sit down and discuss them in greater detail to keep you on the right
track.
Roads—see section 82-281(d) both private and public roads have a 3 unit(home)threshold.
Two homes can share a private driveway, the addition of a 3rd, 4"', + etc triggers the need for the creation of a private
road in an outlot. The private road dimensional requirement is a 24 foot paved width and a cul-de-sac 80 feet in paved
width. As we discussed there may be room for some flexibility pending fire department approval.
There is already an existing driveway(f15 feet wide) in the platted outlot which serves 3310 and 3330 Watertown Road
to your north.The addition of your northern lot and/or your existing home site lot to this driveway would likely trigger the
need to upgrade, or have the City Council approve a variance.
