Gaffron, Assistant Zoning Administrator DATE: July 10, 1984 SUBJECT: Septic Testing Review - Jeff Stebbins ' Subdivision on Watertown Road I have reviewed the test information submitted for this two-lot subdivision . Proposed Lot 1 on the eastern portion of the property contains loamy and sandy soils located on a western sloped hill. The tested sites are suitable for standard trench drainfield systems. f The westerly lot (proposed Lot 2) contains loam soils with a high seasonal water table at the tested sites. The house location preferred by the developer is west of the existing driveway in wet soils. The tested sites are located east of the driveway and will require a mound K drainfield system at primary and alternate sites. Slopes are not a critical factor here. Both lots appear to have suitable drainfield sites. I would recommend approval of the proposal. - - - - GCS[9OW19!` JUN 2 21984 SITE EVALUATION REPORT - t: . " _ CITY OF ORON . FOR JEFF_ STEGE US ORONO, MINNESOTA 6-20-84 0n June 19-20,` 1984 two lots.:were tested .for_-Jeff. ,Stebb - ins in!order to find suitable drainfield sites . Testing was done in accordance with therovisions of WPC - p I}0; Individual Sewage Treatment Systems Standards. The .east lot had very good sandy soils (out in the open field)and yielded percolation rates and water table depths- suitable epthssuitable for standard drainfield systems for bo.th the prim- ary and alternate drainfield sites. Future system design information will be needed once the size and location of the proposed house is. known. --- The west lot is partially in a drainageway down a hill from existing houses to a creek and after recent rains is very wet in places . We found very wet and unsuitable drain- field soils west of the driveway and even east of the drive- way. Thus, we tested more to the east on a slight ridge and found fairly permeable soils that still had a high water L - - table which would require mound systems for both the primary , and alternate sites .
