Dear Lyle:
On May 13, 2008, 1 visited the Dunkley residence at 2709 Walters Port Lane for the final inspection. At the
time of the inspection the contractor was working on the following:
1. The North half of the East wall was fully complete and awaiting final inspection. Full completion
includes installation of the tie-backs, 1'xl'x112" stainless steel plates and(2)3"x3"x114" painted
angled-steel run longitudinally along the wall above the wafer.The contractor was unable to finish
the South half of the East wall due to complications of moving equipment into the area until the
back fill was complete on the North half. Therefore, I said the construction of the East wall was
correct and they may proceed with backfill and finish the South half of the East wall the same as
the North half.
2. The West wall, City side, was still under construction.The crew was working on the installation of
the tie-backs, the stainless steel plates and the steel angle,therefore, a final inspection was not
performed.
The current construction and materials on site are within accordance of the plans and revisions submitted
by Ulteig Engineering. I told the contractor, if they finish the remaining sections of wall in a similar fashion
as the North half of the East wall, both the East and West walls will be satisfactory.
In summary, the construction and materials of the East wall are correct but a final inspection of the West,
wall is recommended.
