LEONE HANRATTY PROPERTY DIVISION,as proposed by George Osha,Fox,
Inc.
The Commission approved the report of the viewing committee com-
posed of RicegMills,Curry and Davidsonaand recommended that one
building site be approved. for Lots 13-14-15- 169B1k.18,Saga Bill
revised and that approval be granted for retention of Lots 17-
1819 by Mrs Hanratty as her homestead. Approval is not recom-
mended for a building pei.mit on that part of Lots 11 and 12 now
owned by her. If sufficient additional property can be acquired
so that this parcel has a conforming 140 ft frontage on the road,
the request may be reconsidered.
The Commission recommended that the Village Council give consid_ G }
eration to the possibility of acquiring the 86X100 ft.lakeshore
lot adjoining the Hanratty property. This lot adjoins a 60 ft.
right of gray (Park Ave.) and thus would give the village owner- 7'
ship of 146 feet of Lakeshore. The owner of this lot o'wh lives
in Californian is asking $7500.009but since the dimensions of the
lot preclude a building site,it might be acquired for less. There
is a good sandy beach which was once used by the Tonka Civic r
Improvement Association as a swimming beach supervised by the
North Shore Community Council.
UNA D. JOHNSON PROPERTY ,CASCO POINT,as submitted by C.A.Le Page
of Eberhardt Realtors. -
It was recommended that approval be given for three building
sites'as platted with this proviso that the existing main house /#10
be torn down and also the guest housegif another building is to
be erected on the same lot. This property is described as Lots -
6 °7 -89 and parts of 5 and lO gWessel ° s Subdivision of Spring
Park and Lots 1 thru 79Blk.ls Casco Heights and parts of lots
22 and 23.
It was also recommended that an alley paralleling the lakeshore
which is not to be used as access be vacated, since access to
the three sites will be by private roadway off Casco and Caroline
Avenues.
The Chairman read a letter from Wm.T.Mills,See.of the West Henn.

REGULAR. MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION,MAY 31,1962
The several plans of proposed sewage disposal were discussed
and comparative costs examined.
An invitation of the Minnesota Planning Association to join
that group and attend the next meeting at Grand Rapids on L"',
June 21st was discussed and tabled.
The matter of an on -sale 3.2 beer license for the Lakeview
Golf Course was discussed and various members of the Commission
recalled the fact that the original request for approval of the
site for golf included the statement that soft drinksycandy and
golfing accessories only were to be sold there.
It was resolved that the Planning Commission request the Village
Council reconsider the granting of an on -sale beer license to
the Lakeview Golf Course in view of the fact that,at the time
approval was first given for the establishment of the golf
course,it was clearly understood that only candy, eoft.drinks
and golfing accessories were to be sold.Since it is a resider=
tigl area zoned specifically for golf a restaurant at this site
would also be questioned.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned,
