The following were present: U.I.Jolfe,A.K.Simonson, ,Im. T.Mills,K.Turnham and D.J.Boll, REZONING LOTS 1,2 & 39B1k.1,Navarre Mr. Edw. Lehman requested recommendations for rezoning Lots 1,2 & 39B1k.lgNavarre from residential to cokmeroial, He presented a petition,stating it contained the signatures of all except trio , of the owners of property in the immediate area. It was pointed out that the area is presently zoned commercial up to the east line of the subject lots. Wolfe moved to recommend that Lots 1,2,3 and 4 be re- zoned commercial,thuo carrying the zone through to Carman Street. The motion was seconded by Simonson and carried. SKIING AREA -y LEE PRIMUS Mr. Lee Primus asked for recommendations on a special use permit for a skiing area QQ of SQ of the SQ.Sec.31,T.118, 11923) o After considerable discussion Wolfe moved ,that the re- quest be recommended,based on Qhap.33 of the Municipal Code, and conditioned on 100; off-street parking,approved sanitary facilities and limited advertising sigg.but allowing the sale of candy,soft drinks, cigarettes and ski supplies, as well as an admission charge. Further discussion resulted in a consen- suo that night time activity should be alloyed, The motion was seconded by Simonson and carried. REZONING- OIRSPINSKI The request of Mrs I ayona Cirspinski for rezoning of the south portions of Lots 11 and 12 (tLe portions south of County lit.ry.;, 6) to commercial was discussed. Because of the traffic problems arising from U.S.012 and Co,6, and the question of the relocation of U.S.12 Simonson moved that the request be denied. The motion was seconded by Wolfe and carried, REZONING - SJ114aY 1310ACH :113S)ORT The problem of the non- conformingtspecial use continuance .. of the Sandy Beach Resort, or rezoning of the property to com- r,_ercial,to enable sale of the resort was discussed at length. Wolfe moved that no action be taken pending conclusion of the rezoning study. The motion was seconded by Simonson & carried, REPORT - SANITARY SE%i'Elt Village E gin.eer,y+m.T.Mills reported on prggress of the work on the sanitary sewer system ZONING ORDINANCE It was agreed that work prepared on this study be present- ed to the Village Council for their approval before submitting it to Jim Hawks and the Village Attorney. SPECIAL 1,1210ING It was agreed that a special meeting be called for 7:30 P.Is1.,Monday,January 611964 for Zoning Ordinance study, There being no further business,the meeting was adjourned. S. B.
