Jan,iel'ivienson were Ptesent requesting recommendations on a
spacial use permit for the erection of 5t.jdtivards Epieeopalian
Ohur,.ch Qn a 5 acre traet at the corner of County .'l{.d.7J6 and No.
1'eriadale - Rd. mice moved to recommend approval. I:iotion seconded
by Curry and passed.
R.A.Bird Subdivision: R.s:.Bird submitted preliminary plans
for the subdivision of his property on Old Long Lake Rd. The � �7
.purvey plat appears to include the road in the lot sizes,there-
by bringing up a question of the actual sizes. A subcommittee
made up of Russell,Curry and Tur iam grill meet I.:r. Bird on the
site at 9 :00 A.I.I. Sat. ,August 24th.
O.A.Monroe Subdivision:Mr. I.:onroe submitted a second request
for recommendations on division of his property on Orono 1145. A
subcommittee had viewed this property in June,1963 and the Com-
mission hadIrecomnended certain changes in his plan. Mr.1,Ionroe
rc- submitted the "sane plan with none of the recommended clianges.
Curry moved to recommend denial of the request.The notion was
seconded by Mice and carried. I;;r.ISonroe grill re- submit his re-
quest to the Village Council.
I�.'til. Bill Lee:Re- subdivision: request for rc- subdivision g
of Lot 3,Blk.2 and Lot 2 B1k.4,Crystal Bay Park Addn.; 24 feet
of each lot to be added to another parcel so as to make two.
buildin sites each containing approximately 42,000 sq.ft.,but
narrovr and 74 ft.) A residential structure exists on the
proposed 76 ft.lot. The Commission will give further considera-
tion to the request after the opinion of property owners in the
imiediate area has been determined.
Kragness Subdivision: Charles Bellows,Attyewas resent re-
presenting Josephine and Melville Krogneps re the proposed sub-
division of Lot l,Auditor's Subdivision §266. Prelininary plans �y
were first submitted to the Village Council and referred to the'
Planning Commission on Sopt.24,1962. On Sept.27,1962 the Plann-
ing CorxAscion gave tentative approval conditioned on certain
charges in the preliminary plans. These changes have now been
made,4s indicated on new plans submitted by Mr.Bellows this
date. rice moved to recommend approval of the latter plans.The
motion was seconded by oolfe and carried.
Tm.J.Russell,Jr.- Permit for remodeling or building: The
Chair read a letter from J.J.russell (representing the present
oti =ner,%im.J.russell,Jr.) requesting; Council's prior approval of
a building periait on Lots 3 and 4,1:.J.Stubbs First Subdivision
in Lot 2,Seet.11,T.1170It.23 in case a large ouraer home exist-
ing on said lots be torn doom or remodeled by a subsequent
ovmer.Reierence was made to Orono Code 32.020 and 32.040. Rice
moved to recommend that a building or remodeling permit be

issued. The motion was seconded by Jolfe and carried,
Attention was called to tine fact that there are now two
vacancies existing on the Cori nission, that of S.1,1.IIalperin and
R.L.Searles. In accordance with Orono Ordinance ,- 1�50,Council
should make appointments to fill these vacancies.
Casco Point Lod e:The Chair read a letter from Atty.S.
V63hanedlingorepresenting several Casco Point residents, re— g
questing that he be notified of any hearing regarding Casco
Point Lodge. Aeference was rude to Orono Coda 30.090 relative
to non — conforming use,
Proposed Zoning recommendations were discussed and the
Secretary was requested to duplicate and place in the hands
of each member a copy of a sumary of recommendations for
study and comment,
SPACIAL LiE3TING: There will be a special meeting of the
Planning Cornission at 7:30 P.;t:.,Tuesday, September 391963 for
the puropse of continuing the study of proposed zoning ordi-
nances,
There being no further business,the meeting adjourned at
10 :05 P-1-i.
