SPECIAL 11BETING OF TH3 PLANNING COM14ISSION
VILLAGE OF ORONO JULY 99 1963
The meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. by
Chairman D. J. Russell. Present were: H. S. Rice, V /m.A,
Curry,II. 14. Boldon, 't7m. T. Mills, D. J. Boll, and K.
Turnham. Absent: R. L. Searles, tl. Y1. 17olfe, D. S.
Cleveland and R. C. Bagley.
The Chair declared the purpose of the special meet-
ing to be a study of zoning for the Village of Orono in
general,for the additional purpose of implementing the
plans for the development of Navarre. The study to result
in recommendations to the Village Council.
Reference was made to the "Planning Program & Admin-
istration Deport to the ,lest Hennepin Joint Planning Com-
mission, Part I3 "- Proposed Zoning Regulations "9 this re-
port being a result of the extensive study conducted by
the TSTidwest Planning and Research Co. Copies of this re-
port were placed in the hands of each person present,and
additional copies are available for the absentee members.

The Chair reviewed the various categories of zoning
recommended by the report and called for discussion of
each. It was agreed that the report be used as a working
basis.
It was agreed that the discussion be continued at
the next regular meeting,July 15,1963,after a closer
study of the report by members of the Commission.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:30 P.rli.
