MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION VILLAGE OF ORONO SEPTEMBER 209 1963 The meeting was called to order by Chairman D. J. CALL TO ORDER Russell at 7:45 P.M. The following members were present: A. K. Simonson, William A. Curry and � H. S. Rice, K. Turnham was also present. �.I L �" Mr. Maurer was present representing Donreed Pro= REZONING perties, Inc. He submitted a rough draft of plans D�NMEED PROPERT for developing their property in the northeastern INC. corner of Long lake bounded by Brown Road on the Vlest and U.S, #12 on the Southwest. A 3 acre strip ill foot wide lies within the Village of Orono and Mr. Maurer requests rezoning of this strip to Com- mercial on the Wiest end and Multiple Dwelling on the East so that it can be developed according to plans, The Commission considered the plans sound and re- commended approval of the rezoning, but requested that Mr. Maurer check on the accesses, especially on U.S. #12 and on -the availability of sewering by Tong Lake. Mr. Maurer will take the matter to the )ng Lake Council, check accesses with the Min. - egota highway Department and report back to us, The Committee r- e- forted favorably on the Variance -VARIANCE- requested by B6571hite for the purpose of erecting -BOB WHITE a Sauna. Curry moved to recommend approval. Motion seconded by Rice and carriedo Race moved to recommend approval. of Henry Rigelhof's request for a Variance for a storage shed, subject to an agreement to move the shed in ease of highway improvement. Motion seconded by Curry and passed.. Herman Vanderbou-r-ght was present re preliminary approval of subdivision of Turnham Road Addition I. Curry moved Preliminary approval with street deeded to the Village when final development is made.
