REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO
PLANNING COMMISSION
The meeting was called to order by Chairman JAN. 189 1965

D. W. Judkins and H. S. Rice. Ea- offioio members
present were Wm. T. Mills and Ken Turnham, Absent:
D, S. Cleveland and W. W. Wolfe.
Mr. Wm. Wear was present requesting the Commission "s
opinion as.to the erection of a metal building
(40 X 469 18 ft.•heighth) on his property on U.S. 12
west of Brown Rohd, zoned commercial. He was re-
quested to draw up his preliminary plans and submit
them to the Village Council January 25th.
R. L. Searles reported on the Village Council's
suggestions as to alterations of the proposed zoning
ordinance, He presented a zoning map and informed
the Commission that the Council had approved the
hiring of Jim Hawks of the Midwest Planning & Research
Co., to submit a rough draft of the proposed zoning
ordinance within the concepts set forth by the
Planning Commission and the Village Council. (Fees
roughly fixed at $600.00). The rough draft and
zoning map will lead to a series of public hearings
bearing on the subject.

journed at 10:15 P.M.
