Attached is copy of the survey previously sent to us from February 2017 and a copy of the channel easement.
Tree Removal within the Channel Easement
Please provide us with a plan of what you are proposing along the channel. For example,are the tree(s)you are
proposing to remove below the Ordinary High Water Level (OHWL)929.4 or above? Are you removing the root
structure or leaving a stump and the roots? How many? Location? You will should also contact Hennepin County to see
if they have any plans for channel maintenance.
Tree Removal within 75'of the OWHL
Regarding the pine trees along the south side of the property—32' is your property and the other 40' belongs to the
property owner at 4380 North Shore Drive. You are only allowed to work within your property. Each property owner
will need to submit a General Land Use Permit to remove dead,diseased or dying trees within 75'of the OWHL along
with a plan of what you are proposing to do—i.e.just remove the trees,or remove and replace, etc. You should confirm
the trees on your and/or your neighbor's property and not within the County Right-of-Way.
We now offer an online permitting submittal. Go to the City's website at www.ci.orono.mn.us. On the right hand side
will be a CitizenServe link. Also attached are some instructions regarding creating a user name and password.
