To whom it may concern,
The property you own at 465 Turnham Road in Orono MN has been abandon and left unsecured.This is
an order to secure the building with 48 hours per Orono city ordinance#86-4. If the building is not
secured within 48 hours the city will secure the building and assess the cost against the property as a
special assessment. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at my office.

Sec. 86-4. Vacant buildings.
It is unlawful for the owner of any property to keep or allow to exist any vacant building which
is open to trespass or is not secured against unauthorized entry. When an unsecured building is
found, the building official shall post the premises and shall issue orders in person or by mail to the
last known owner of record requiring that the building be secured within 48 hours. Failure to secure
the building upon issuance of such orders shall be cause for the city to properly secure the building,
to cause the costs to be charged against the property as provided by Minn. Stat. §463.251, and to
commence hazardous building proceedings pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§463.15-463.261.

After due notice to secure the buildings at 465 Turnham Road per Orono Municipal Code Section 86-4
the city contracted with Midwest Turf and Landscape inc.to secure them. Please remit$295.00 to them
for the work.The cost is to be charge against the property as provide by Minnesota State Statute
#463.251.Thank you.
