RE: Roof Extension
Dear Mr. Merz:
On 05-27-90 this office issued permit#10261 to you to re-roof your home at 380 Turnham. Our
records indicate that no inspections were conducted on this project. The City requires a tear off
inspection and a final inspection when complete. It has also come to the City's attention that an
entry roof was added with that project. Your application for a building permit makes no mention
of the roof addition. If it had the City would have required a survey showing its location and a
framing plan showing its construction.
Unfortunately the zoning district you are in requires a 100' setback from the front property line.
Therefore the City must require you to remove the roof addition or if you feel you have a
hardship you could apply for a variance to the required setback. A deadline of 08-23-01 has
been established for removal or variance application submittals.
