I have completed review of the Building Permit application package for the proposed improvements at 200 Truffula
Trail. Following are my comments for your consideration:
1. The siltfence should be installed and inspected by the City prior to any work. The contractor must provide
minimum 24 hour notice prior to inspection.
2. The applicant may be required to obtain Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD)approval and permitting
for their Erosion Control Rule. A copy of any approved permits or confirmation that no permit is required should
be submitted prior to any land altering activities.

Please review as if all are proposed as the applicant isn't clear and we only have
a permit for the pool —so far.

Thank you for clarifying about the escrow; did you sign an escrow agreement form?
You submitted a pool permit application. The attached application form should be used to install new hardcover. You will
check the no fee hardcover box as well as the $50 minor land alteration box. I will need to revise your escrow agreement
if you have already submitted one. If not, I can use the one I previously attached and include all permit numbers.
The permit required for the stairs and building will be the Building Permit application.

It is not necessary to meet with our engineer. He completed his review yesterday; I've attached his comments. We will
continue with our review now.
I do still need clarification as to what exactly is being proposed at this time as your survey identifies a number of separate
projects, some requiring separate permits. The permit application form submitted at this time only reflects construction
of a pool. It is my intent that the remaining"proposed" improvements identified on the survey will be redlined (crossed
out) and not permitted as part of this permit.

Our survey standard sheet (attached) outlines all of the minimum necessary information for permitting review. Obviously
all of this information isn't needed for every type or scale project. However, your survey has partial detail (topography)
or is missing some of this information (septic tanks, etc). Our engineer will take a look at this to see if it is sufficient for

The survey reflects a portion of existing topography (not the full site) and some proposed grading around proposed

a hot tub under the porch. Three separate patio areas are shown as proposed. There is a label which states"septic
tank" but it is not specifically indicated.
The survey is dated 07/25/14. It will be given to our engineer today for his review and comments, as well as our septic
system inspector for his review.

I would use that timing as a guideline. Also, I just glanced at your survey. If you're proposing all of those improvements
they will all (including putting green) should be shown on a proposed grading plan. The existing site topography is only
shown for a portion of the property. This should be revised on the survey to show the entire site and all proposed
improvements. Do you have deck/stair plans? A separate building permit is required. Also, is a pool building proposed?
If so a separate permit will also be required for this. Will there be a bathroom in this building?
