Location: City of Orono, T117, R23, Section 8, NW 1/4
Purpose: Shoreline improvement involving the placement of approximately 250
lineal feet of rip rap shoreline erosion control, installation 45 lineal feet
of sandblanket, and floodplain alteration involving excavation and
filling within the floodplain.
Dear Ms. Kisting:
At the regularly scheduled June 8, 1995 meeting of the Board of Managers, the subject
permit application was reviewed along with the following exhibits:
1. Permit application number 95-119 received May 10, 1995.
2. Site plan received May 10, 1995.
3. Typical cross section received May 10, 1995.
4. Revised permit application with applicant's signature received June 1, 1995.
Action was taken to table your permit application pending receipt and staff approval of the
following exhibits:
1. Demonstration why riprap could not be used in place of the proposed retaining wall.
2. Revised fill plan and related calculations for proposed floodplain alteration.
3. Revised typical cross sections, inclusive of the following:
• All dimensions and scale are clarified. It is recommended that a scale
of L inch equals 2 feet be utilized.
61 A note stating "The maximum finished rock slope shall not exceed a
slope of A : V." and enter the slope that is being proposed.
• Continuation of ground profile waterward of OHW and which clearly
indicates that the OHW will not be moved inland due to the project.

4. Submittal of a Sand Source Exhibit form.
These items should be received no later than July 6, 1995, for your permit application to be
on the agenda for the next meeting of the Board of Managers scheduled for July 27, 1995.
