EXISTING CONSTRUCTION
Adequately shore and brace all existing construction as required during demolition and
construction. Field verify all existing conditions,dimensions and elevations.
FOUNDATIONS
All footings to bear on undisturbed natural soils. Minimum bearing capacity=2000 psf.
If the soil below the foundations or slab-on-grade is of questionable bearing capacity,
notify the engineer for resolution.
Maintain a minimum of 42 inches from finished grades to bottom of footings for frost protection.
MASONRY
Provide 9 gauge, ladder type, horizontal reinforcement at 16"O.C. in all masonry walls.
All masonry to be placed in running bond, UNO.
Cores containing reinfoncement shall be grouted solid with masonry grout.
