Re: Final site grading
Dear Dennis:
Last fall City Engineer Tom Kellogg and I visited your property to confirm that the conditions of
approval for your site grading had been carried out according to the approved plan. Remember that
the goal was to direct as much of your drainage as possible to the back of your lot. We took a
number of spot elevation measurements and confirmed that the grading for the most part does follow
the plan,but should be modified slightly to reduce the potential neighborhood impacts. We briefly
discussed these items with you on the site, but I wanted to get a letter out to remind you of these
items:
1. A low curb should be added to the west side of your driveway, in order to direct runoff
toward the back of your property rather than toward the neighbor to your west.
2. When finish-grading the lawn area east of your driveway,raise the grade as necessary so that
the runoff from the south half of your driveway will eventually run to the south rather than
to the street(See attached sketch with notes).
The small detention pond area in the back looked fine. Thank you for your continued attention to
these final details on your new home. If you have any questions,please feel free to give me a call
