Dear Mr. Boon,
It has come to the attention of this department that you have recently added on to your garage.
This letter is to inform you that the city requires a building permit for garage additions. Your
options are to remove the structure or to apply for a building permit to see if it could remain. If it
were to remain it would need to meet building and zoning code requirements. It appears that the
required 10' side setback is one of the issues.
Therefore the city must require you to remove the structure or submit a permit application with
the required submittals to see if it could be allowed to remain. A dead line of April 27th 2009 has
been established for removal or application submittal. If you have any questions please feel free
to contact me or the zoning staff. .
