f <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD MAY 13, 1991 <br />ROLL CALL: <br />The Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Mayor Barbara Peterson, Councilmembers J. Diann <br />Goetten, Edward Callahan. Gabriel Jabbour and Mary Butler. The <br />following represented the City Staff: City Administrator Mark <br />Bernhardson, Building a:-id Zoning Administrator Jeanne Mabusth, <br />Public Works Director John Gerhardson, Assistant: Planning and <br />Zoning Administrator Michael Gaffron, City Attorney T-,iomas <br />Barrett, City Engineer Glenn Cook, and City Recorder Laurie <br />Scheffler. Mayor Peterson called the ml :�eting to order at 7:10 <br />p.m. <br />( #1 *)'CONSENT AGENDA: <br />'It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Butler, to approve the <br />Consen•,,: Agenda as presented All voted aye. Motion passed. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: <br />( #3 *)REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL-22, 1991 <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Butler, to .approve the <br />Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting held. April 20, 1991. All <br />voted aye. Motion passed. <br />( #4 *)BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING OF APRIL 30, 1991 <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Butler, 'to approve the <br />Minutes of the Board of Review Meeting held April 30, 1991. All <br />voted aye. Motion passed. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION COMMENTS: <br />Planning Commission Representative, Sara Moos, was present, but <br />had no comments at this point in the meeting. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS: <br />Alan Nettles - Asked Council to reconsider the Conditional Use <br />Permit granted in relation to the Toberman property located at <br />1960 Shoreline Drive, based oa Court of Appeals decisions <br />recently made. Nettles also advised that there is now case law <br />stemming from the County of Isanti v. Mary Ann Peterson case, <br />which addresses the issue of voluntary /involuntary abandonment of <br />an activity for which a Conditional Use Permit was granted. <br />Bill Wear - Stated that there is an outstanding bill in the <br />amount or $800 involving damage to a power line that resulted <br />from the installation of water and sewer lines in front of his <br />property. Hie asked the City to pay the outstanding bill and to <br />also replace the judicial markers that were removed. <br />Don Germanson (President of the Lake Minnetonka Lakeshoreowner's <br />Association), invited Council to attend a gathering at the <br />Pillsbury home Sunday, May 19, 1991, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p:m. <br />- 1 - <br />
