Z ry <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD APRIL 13, 1992 <br />ROLL <br />The Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Mayor Barbara Peterson, Councilmembers Gabriel Jabbour, <br />Edward Callahan, J. Diann Goetten and Mary Butler. The following <br />represented the City staff: City Administrator Ron Moorse, Public <br />Works Director John Gerhardson, Building & Zoning Administrator <br />Jeanne Mabusth, Assistant Planning and Zoning Administrator Michael <br />Gaffron, City Attorney Tom Barrett, City Engineer Glenn Cook, and <br />City Recorder Teri Naab. Candace Rowlette was present to represent <br />the Planning Commission. Mayor Peterson called the meeting to <br />order at 7:00 P.M. <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />Moorse administered the Oath of Office to Police Officer David <br />McNichols and welcomed him to the Orono Police Department. <br />( #1) CONSENT AGENDA <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to approve the <br />Consent Agenda. Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />Motions for ail items adopted by consent agenda will be included <br />In the minutes in their respective numerical order. <br />( * #2) APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to approve the <br />minutes of the regular meeting of the Orono Council held on March <br />23, 1992. Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />( #3) CABLE COMMISSION COMMENTS — RESOLUTION #3103 <br />James Daniels and Tim Pattrin were present. <br />Pattrin thanked the Council for sponsoring the DARE program. He <br />went on to announce that Jennifer Watts has resigned as Cable <br />Commission Administrator and James Daniels has been hired in her <br />place. Pattrin explained that Daniels has notified the Executive <br />Board regarding a-misleading monthly rate. He explained that the <br />franchise fee was included as a line item, which reflected an <br />Increase of 5 %. He noted the problem has been resolved within a <br />two week period. He introduced James Daniels to the Council. <br />1 <br />
