MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD FEBRUARY 24, 1992 <br />ROLL <br />The Council met on the above date with the 'following members <br />present: Mayor Barbara Peterson, ° Councilmembers Gabriel Jabbour, <br />Edward Callahan, and J. Diann Goetten. Mary Butler was absent. <br />The following represented the.City staff: City Administrator-Ron <br />Moorse, Building & Zoning Administrator Jeanne Mabusth, Assistant <br />Planning and Zoning' Administrator Michael Gaff ron, City Attorney <br />Tom Barrett, City Engineer Glenn Cook and City Recorder Teri Naab. <br />Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. <br />( #1) CONSENT AGENDA <br />It was moved 'by Goetten, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to approve <br />the Consent Agenda. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />Motions for all items adopted by consent agenda will be included <br />in the'--minutes in their respective numerical order.. <br />( * #2) APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />I It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to approve <br />the minutes of the regular meeting of the Orono Council held on <br />February 10, 1992. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( #3) PLANNING COMMISSION APPLICANT INTERVIEWS <br />j Mayor Peterson welcomed the applicants and asked them to step <br />forward as they were called and briefly tell the Council about <br />themselves. <br />Robert P. Hare, V, 1600 Long Lake Blvd <br />Hare stated he has been a resident of Orono for the last 4 years, <br />and also in the lat6 1970s lived on Casco Point. He noted he has <br />three children, one of which is in the Orono school system. He <br />and his family intend to make their permanent residence in Orono. <br />He added he is a real estate agent with a Wayzata firm, and <br />therefore has had extensive experience in new construction and land <br />development. He stated he has no past experience in civic service. <br />Goetten noted that his application states he has experience in land <br />use and planning. <br />Hare reiterated that experience has been job related, ranging from <br />simple subdivisions and variance requests to major subdivisions. <br />He explained he has had experience in conceptually dividing land <br />j for proposed divisions. <br />1 <br />
