RE: Building Permit
Dear Mr. Lundquist:
Our records indicate that the Orono Building and Zoning Department approved an
application for a building permit to complete a deck at 2108 Sugarwood Drive in Orono.
As of today's date the permit has not been issued. The work has been completed
without a permit and the required inspections have not taken place.
This letter is to notify you that if the permit is not picked up by July 7, 2011, the City of
Orono will fonnrard the matter to the City Attorney for legal action.

the existing and the proposed would look the same in this case, they aren't planning to change the grades enough to
show up on a 1-foot contour drawing. this is probabiy one of the few cases that they can get away with no contours.

got the voicemail 30 seconds talking, 2 minutes typing...
they provided enough info to show that:
1. the proposed walls are short - 1 foot or less
2. the lot is flat and the proposed patio will not affect drainage patterns
However, this will still end up moving more than 25 yards of material and trigger the erosion control ordinance.

Good morning we talked yesterday about the hardcover for this property, and I know you had some concerns of
the question I was asking. I have included the most recent survey with our proposed landscaping and deck. The
survey shows a proposed hardcover of 60% and the ordinance is 80%. We feel that the 60% is accurate, but
want to make sure that there is no "Gottcha" that we could not plan for. Please look it over and give me your
opinion, I look forward to speaking with you.

I have begun to process your building permit request for 2108 Sugarwoods Dr.
There are two issues I see as of right now:
1. The submitted survey is not scaled. Please submit 3 scaled copies of the survey for the review to continue.
2. Further, existing and proposed contours must be shown on the survey and they must extend 50' into adjacent
properties.
Please see our attached survey requirements and assure that your survey complies with all of the requirements before
resubmittal.
