Dear Ms. Gregory:
It has come to the attention of this department that you have recently constructed a shed on your
property at 385 Stubbs Bay Road. This letter is to inform you that the City of Orono requires a
building permit for sheds which must meet setbacks from property lines, wetlands and other
buildings. The wetland setback is 26',the side setback is 10' and the street property line setback is
100'. An accessory structure may not be placed between the house and the street. If you can meet
these setbacks, a building permit can be issued. If not, you may ask City Council for variances to
these setbacks.

Dear Ms. Gregory:
On Apri125, 1996 I visited your property to look for an accepta.ble location for your shed. I did fmd
a location off the upper driveway between the house and the play structure. If you wish to move it
there,I could issue a building permit. If you wish to leave it where it is, you may proceed with the
variance process to see if City Council would allow it.
A permit or a variance application must be submitted before May 15, 1996. If you have any
questions, feel free to contact me at my o�ce.
