1. MN/DOT STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION, 2005 EDITION, SHALL GOVERN, EXCEPT AS
MODIFIED BY THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS.
2. ALL TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES SHALL CONFORM TO THE MMUTCD, INCLUDING THE FIELD MANUAL FOR
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL ZONE LAYOUTS, 2007 EDITION.
3. THE CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING APPROPRIATE AND ADEQUATE SIGNAGE AND AND
SECURING OF THE SITE THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF CONSTRUCTION, WHEN REQUIRED OR
NECESSARY.
4. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SECURE ALL APPLICABLE AND REQUIRED PERMITS PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION. A
DEMOLITION PERMIT FROM THE CITY OF ORONO WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THIS PROJECT. COSTS
ASSOICATED WITH ALL PERMITS SECURED WILL BE CONSIDERED INCIDENTAL TO THE CONTRACT SUM AND
SHALL BE PAID FOR BY THE CONTRACTOR. SEE SPECIFICATION SECTION 00820 - SPECIAL CONDITIONS.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DISPOSE OF ALL MATERIALS AND DEBRIS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
CONTRACT AND APPLICABLE LAWS AND ORDINANCES. NEARBY ROADWAYS AND ACCESS POINT TO
THE SITE SHALL BE KEPT CLEAR OF ALL DEBRIS AND SOIL, INCLUDING VEHICULAR TIRE TRACKING.
6. THE EXACT LOCATION AND DEPTH OF UNDERGROUND UTILITIES, SUCH AS GAS, TELEPHONE, FIBER OPTIC,
ELECTRIC, CABLE TV, PIPE LINES, ETC., ARE UNKNOWN. IN ACCORDANCE WITH MINNESOTA STATE
STATUTE 216D AND RULES CHAPTER 7560, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT GOPHER STATE ONE AT
LEAST 48 HRS PRIOR TO COMMENCING EXCAVATION. GOPHER STATE ONE CAN BE CONTACTED AT (651)
454.0002 OR 1.800.252.1166. PRIVATE UNDERGROUND UTILITY LOCATES FOR THIS PROPERTY WILL BE
REQUIRED FOR THIS PROJECT. ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PRIVATE UTILITY LOCATES SHALL BE

UTILITIY GRAPHIC REPRESENTATIONS SHOULD NOT BE CONSTRUED AS FACT. IF THERE IS A CONFLICT

10. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE, SALVAGE, TEMPORARILY STOCKPILE, AND REUSE ALL TOPSOIL AND
FILL MATERIAL GENERATED ON SITE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY AND CONFIRM ANY SOIL AND THEIR
