RE: Accessory Structure & Commercial Use of a Building
Dear Mr. Hanning:
It has come to the attention of the Building Department that the Pole Barn on your property
collapsed under the weight of the heavy snow this winter and has subsequently been removed.
This letter is to inform you that a demolition permit is required for the removal of structures. The
demo permit is a record keeping tool for the City and the Tax Assessor. The permit fee is $30.00.
This letter is also to inform you that a building permit is required to replace the structure. The City
also noted that the building was being used for a commercial business. Your property is located in
a single family zone where this commercial use is not allowed.
Please obtain the demolition permit at your earliest convenience. If you have any questions please
