A RESOLUTION RECENING THE CITY ENGINEER'S FEASIBILITY STUDY
AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
GREEN TREES ROAD SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION
WHEREAS, the residents on Green Trees Road submitted a petition to extend the
sanitary sewer down Green Trees Road; and
WHEREAS,the Council accepted the petition and directed staff to perform a
feasibility report; and
WHEREAS,the Project improvement shall include the extension of sanitary sewer
main lines pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Sections 429.011 to 429.1 1 ]; and
WHEREAS,the Feasibility Study (Study) was received by the City Council on
November 1?, 2013; and
WHEREAS,the Study provides information regarding whether the proposed project
is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council of Orono, Minnesota:
1. The City Council will consider the improvement of the extension of sanitary sewer in
accordance with the Study and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion
of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Chapter 429 at an
estimated total cost of the improvement of$124,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 13t� day of
January, 2014, in the Orono Council Chambers, 2780 Kelley Parkway at 7:00 p.m.
3. The City Administrator Shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and
improvement as required by law.
Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting
held November 12, 2013.
