SUBJECT: Barn on Property
MnDOT purchased the front part of this property to construct the CR6/TH12 interchange. On the
front part was the house. It was removed. On the rear part, retained by the property owner, was
the barn. It was not removed, even though it became an accessory structure without a principal
structure. After consultation with the City Attorney it was determined the barn is a non-
conforming structure and is entitled to all the rights of a non-conforming structure.
