Dear Ostvigs:
This letter is a response to the question Mr. Dobonezski had with the wiring on the pump tank on
March 5, 2004. After talking with several people the reason there is a gap between the box and
conduit is so the septic gases do not go into the electric box. The fumes will eat away the wiring
inside the box. The gap provides a way for the fumes to escape before they get into the box.
The installer still does need to put caulk on top of the conduit so water does not go into the tank.
If you have any questions please give me a call.
Sincerely,
;o ,
