Orono has ordinances(Sec 78-283;78-577;78-673)intended to preserve the natural &Drop-OfF or Mail To:

follow:
■ A City Permit is reyuired to cut any five tree with a diameter of 6"or grearer that is
located within 75'oEthe shoreline.
■ Inspection by City staff is required,to conficm the reasons for removal. Removal of
a dead trees doesn't require a peanit,but they must still be inspected prior to remocal.
■ Removal of live trees requires replacementon a tree-for-tree basis,at the same
setback from the shore as the trees removed.

■ Intenaive vegeration clearingwithin 75'of the shoreline,on steep slopes and in ' ���IG�and Park-Infonnation
bluff areas is prohibited. Limited clearing is allowed to provide a view of the lake
