The review is based upon the supposition that the data on which the design is based are correct, and that necessary legal authority has been obtained to construct the project. The responsibility for the design of structural features and the efficiency of equipment must be taken by the project designer. Approval is contingent upon satisfactory disposition of any requirements included in this report. Special care should be taken to insure that the material and installation of the plumbing system are in accordance with the provisions of the Minnesota Plumbing Code. A copy of the approved plans and specifications should be retained at the project location for future reference. INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of the Minnesota Plumbing Code. As specified in Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2830,no plumbing work may be covered prior to completing the required tests and inspections. Provisions must be made for applying an air test at the time of the roughing-in inspection as outlined in Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2820, subpart 2, of the code. A manometer test, as specified in Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2820, subpart 3, is required at the time of the finished plumbing inspection. It is the responsibility of the contractor/installer to notify the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry when an installation for a state contract job, licensed facility, or project in an area where there is no local administrative authority is ready for an inspection and test. This approval is for the interior portion of the plumbing system only. Installation of the exterior services may not proceed until revised plans and supporting documentation concerning the proposed lift station are submitted to and approved by our office. 2. A full-way valve must be provided at the water service entrance to the building. 3. The disposal sink must be provided with 3/4-inch hot and cold water supply branch lines as a minimum(see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.1730, subpart 2). 4. The vent pipe opening from a soil or waste pipe may not be below the weir of the trap. The fixture drain lines must connect to the vertical sanitary drain with a tee connection rather than a wye connection as indicated in the waste and vent riser diagrams(see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2620, subpart 2). 5. Solvent weld joints in PVC and CPVC pipe must include use of a primer which is of contrasting color to the pipe and cement(see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.0810, subpart 2). The plumbing installation includes water closets,urinals,lavatories,an electric water cooler,mop sinks,counter sinks,floor drains,an elevator pit drain and sump,a wall hydrant,and roof drains. The rough-in plumbing for a future three- compartment sink,dishwasher, disposer,counter sink,hand sink,and soiled dishtable will also be installed in the kitchen area. 2. This facility will be served by an upgraded e�cisting private well and a new municipal sewer ser�ice. Authorization for construction in accordance with the approved plans may be withdrawn if construction is not undertaken within a period of two years. The fact that the plans have been approved does not necessarily mean that recommendations or requirements for change will not be made at some later time when changed conditions, additional information,or advanced lrnowledge make improvements necessary.
